Vision Weekend

Start Talking – Find conversation starters for the group or with a friend

  • What if in every sphere of influence (school, business, work, family), we lived out all of the principles of God and His Word? What would that look like in our world?
  • This weekend, we heard so many testimonies of freedom from people in our Church. How have you experienced freedom in your life?

Keep Reading – Read the scripture and ask a question to get the group thinking.

Read these scriptures out loud:

Ephesians 1:23

“The church, you see, is not peripheral to the world; the world is peripheral to the church. The church is Christ’s body, in which he speaks and acts, by which he fills everything with his presence.”

  • The focus of Jesus is on His Church, He wants to use the Church to reach the world. In light of that, what should our focus be on?

Hebrews 11:1-2

The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. It’s our handle on what we can’t see. The act of faith is what distinguished our ancestors, set them above the crowd.”

  • Faith isn’t just about believing, it is also about doing. How can we put our faith into action, in our family, our work / school, and in our Church?

Keep Talking – Choose questions to create openness

  1. Pastor Todd reminded us that, the Church is the hope for the world, because Jesus is the hope for the world. We are called to be the light of the world.
  2. What does it mean to be the light of the world?
  3. Why do we need to be the light of the world?
  4. How are you currently being the light of the world in your family, work/school and church?
  • Vision is all about change. It’s about taking people from where they are, to where they can be. Vision is required for change to happen!

Read Mark 2:1-12

If you are going to do something big for God – there will be obstacles. Don’t quit!

  • What obstacles have you faced as you pursued the dreams God placed inside of you?

Vision will drive you forward into things you’ve never done before.

  • How has this statement proven to be true in your life?
  • What vision has God placed into your heart for 2019?

Read our vision statement aloud as a group. “We are called to lead a radical transformation for Jesus Christ, in this region and beyond. Everyone. Everyday. Everywhere.”

Keep Moving/Going – Commit to a step and live it out this week.

  • What are some practical steps we can do together, to lead a radical transformation for Jesus Christ, in our region?
  • Pick one of this week’s key Scriptures and make it a reminder in your phone. Spend a few minutes repeating it and thinking about it each day.
  • S.O.A.P out the Scripture this week.

Keep Praying

  • Prayer requests from everyone at group
