Mission Trip FAQ's

1. Once I submit my application, am I automatically accepted to the team and going on the trip?

No. You will receive an e-mail and/or phone call to confirm that the Outreach Ministries office has received your application and a meeting with the team leader will be scheduled.

2. How will I know if I have been accepted to the team I have applied for?

Team leaders will contact you within two weeks of interview to let you know if you have been accepted.

3. When is the first deposit due?

Deposits will be due at the first scheduled meeting. Upon your acceptance to the team, your deposit becomes non-refundable and will be applied to the total trip cost.

4. Does Christ Fellowship have any scholarships to  help me pay for the trip?

It is the responsibility of each team participant to pay for their trip prior to departure date. We encourage all team members to raise their own funding. Raising support can be one of the most faith-building exercises of the entire mission trip process. An information packet, including sample letters you can use to raise support, will be given to each team member once they have been accepted to the team.

5. How do I obtain or renew my passport?

Once you submit your application, you should immediately begin working on obtaining or updating your passport. Please make sure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond the date of our scheduled trip. 6. How many people will be accepted for the team?

Most teams will have 20-25 people, although there are some smaller groups.

7. Do we pay to get our own passport?

Yes, it is each team participant's responsibility to obtain a valid passport.

8. What are the age qualifications to go on the trips?

If the trip is open church-wide, team members must be 18 years of age, unless accompanied by parent/guardian.
