FAQ’s About Getting Married at Christ Fellowship
Q. What are the requirements for having our wedding at CF or using a CF pastor off-site?
A. We require that you be Covenant Members, comply with our Marriage Policy and complete the Preparation for Marriage process.
Q. What is the Preparation for Marriage process?
A. We offer 12 hours of biblical teaching that meets for six consecutive weeks, then 12 hours of Marriage Mentoring and eight hours of the Crown Financial Seminar. Our class will count toward the discount offered when applying for your marriage license; a certificate is issued after the completion of the class. The study is taught by Christ Fellowship Marriage Mentor Couples and is held at various on- and off-site locations. The study is offered throughout the year at different dates and times and is available at a cost of $170 for Covenant Members and $250 for non-members. Q. What is a Marriage Mentor?
A. Marriage Mentoring is a couple-to-couple relationship that seeks to help couples live out their vision for marriage, bringing personal support and encouragement to couples who are intent on growing a healthy marriage. Christ Fellowship Marriage Mentors equip couples for a fulfilling covenant relationship by teaching vital skills and by sharing their own life experiences.
Q. What is Covenant Membership?
A. Covenant Membership includes being baptized as a believer of Jesus Christ, being in agreement with the Statements of Faith and Core Values of Christ Fellowship, and finding them to be in harmony with the teachings of the Old and New Testaments. Covenant Membership is a commitment to oneself, to God and to the other members of this Covenant Community to the following: Salvation, Baptism, Spiritual Growth, Life Group Life, Service and Stewardship. Membership certifies being received into the Christ Fellowship family and entrusted with the related responsibilities and privileges.
Q. How do I become a Covenant Member?
A. Register online for our Get in the Game 101 course. At the completion of the course there is opportunity to sign the Covenant Membership form.
A. Royal Palm Campus has a capacity for 1,200 and weddings can be held on the first Friday of the month after 5:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 9a.m. to 12:30p.m.
Q. Can we have our reception at the Christ Fellowship?
A. We do not have facilities for receptions available at the church.
Q. How can we request and hold a date?
A. E-mail or call our wedding coordinator (561.799.7603, ext. 1505) to discuss the availability of a date and the pastors available to officiate the ceremony. A deposit of $100 is required before a date can be held. A pastor can be requested for an off-site wedding and a $50 deposit is required.
Q. If we’re not Covenant Members of Christ Fellowship, can we have our wedding there?
A. Covenant Membership is generally required in order to have a wedding at Christ Fellowship, but we will evaluate each individual case. Please contact our wedding coordinator discuss your situation.
Q. How much does it cost to get married at Christ Fellowship?
A.On site: The cost is $750 for Covenant Members. This includes the pastor, wedding coordinator, sound technician, maintenance and the renting of the facility.
A.Off site: The cost is $250 for Covenant Members. This includes the pastor for your off-site location.
Q. Can we renew our marriage vows at Christ Fellowship, or off-site, with a pastor?
A.We offer the opportunity for married couples to renew their wedding vows. This can be arranged by our wedding coordinator.
