When you and your loved ones are going through difficult times, the counseling ministry provides help as you experience God's presence, provision, compassion and truth at your point of need.   Christ Fellowship’s Biblical Counseling Ministry comprises trained volunteer counselors.

We offer individual and family support from a Christ-centered perspective. Lay counselors are trained in the skills of listening, clarifying and goal-setting, all undertaken through prayerful submission to the leading of God. The strength of our ministry rests in the power and knowledge of the Wonderful Counselor, the Holy Spirit, as He works in and through our lives according to His Word.

Additionally, we offer an array of counseling related classes and groups throughout the year on topics such as Divorce, Grief, Anger, and Recovery. Our classes and support groups provide a place of comfort, healing and hope. Each leader has personally walked the path themselves or has been trained in facilitation for that specific area.

Lay Counselors facilitate soul care and life transformation through the healing power of God’s Word. As a new testament community of believers, 1 Thessalonians 5:14 urges us to be involved in exhorting, encouraging, comforting and helping one another. To this end, the Lay Counseling Ministry exists to meet the spiritual and emotional needs of people in our congregation. It operates within a Christ-centered framework to fulfill scriptural injunctions to “bear one another’s burdens” (Galatians 6:2) and to “speak the truth in love…” (Ephesians 4:15).

The Lay Counseling Ministry provides Christian Counseling support for those facing problematic circumstances or emotional and spiritual difficulties. It also provides personal and relational growth experiences for those seeking practical ways to enhance the quality of life for themselves and others.

Lay people are trained as counselors and minister on a voluntary basis.
