The 1980s: Faithful with a Little

Beginning in 1984, a handful of families believed in their hearts that God wanted to do something fresh and new in the Palm Beach Gardens area. They realized that the secret to God’s blessings rested in their walk of obedience to the Lord.

That early group of believers understood that being faithful in the small things would pave the way for future influence and impact for Christ. There was a sense of calling and destiny upon this small band of believers. Those early days saw new salvations, as more and more people joined the church family. Within a few short months, the group had outgrown the Mullins’ home and moved to Grove Park Elementary.

It was during the Grove Park days that the foundation of Christ Fellowship was formed. The focus was upon God and His purposes. Early on the message rang clear: “It’s not about us – it’s about God.” That has become our driving force, the very reason for every sacrifice – and sacrifice is exactly what this small church was asked to do.
