Volunteer at the Life Center

The Life Center is now open on the Gardens Campus. That means there are new and exciting ways for you to volunteer. Opportunities are available in Café 242, The Source bookstore, the Student Zone, on the Traffic Team and in general maintenance. They include:

CAFÉ 242

Café 242 will be the social hub of the Life Center, providing a place where adults, young people, families and friends can gather in a spirit of fellowship. Here are some of the volunteer opportunities:

  • Barista – Prepare and serve coffee and smoothie drinks
  • Cashier – Take orders and ring up sales
  • Dining Area Host – Direct guests and maintain cleanliness
  • Food Presentation Team – Prepare and serve food, keep buffet stocked, maintain cleanliness in the area
  • Team Captain – Able to perform all team duties when needed; manage schedules and assist with ordering inventory; lead and encourage the team, and create welcoming atmosphere for guests
  • Team Co-Captain – Assist the Team Captain and Hospitality Services team in organizing, communicating and motivating volunteers regarding operations and upcoming events

THE SOURCE

Does helping to resource our church and our community by means of books, sermons, clothing, gifts and artwork sound exciting to you? If so, we have a great place for you to serve – our new 2,800-square-foot bookstore in the Life Center. Here are some of the opportunities in The Source:

  • Frontliners – Help guide members of our church family to the appropriate resources
  • Cashiers – Using an outgoing spirit to answer questions and computer skills to process sales and take special orders
  • Ministry Trainers – Teaching and training on a consistent basis to educate and inspire others in their various rolls in our ministry
  • Volunteer Care Point Persons – Needed are spiritually mature individuals with gifts of service, encouragement and prayer to take care of the ones who take care of our church
  • Ministry Supervisors & Support – Responsible for overseeing customer service and supporting other volunteers during store hours

STUDENT ZONE

Student Ministries is committed to helping young people discover who God is and in encouraging them to build to build the kingdom of God in their everyday lives. Here are some of the ways you can serve in the Life Center’s new Student Zone:

  • Worship Team – Use your artistic and/or technical skills to support and execute main worship gatherings; to find inventive ways to convey information to others, or to create a culture of worship through the arts
  • Life Groups – Provide a host home, become a group leader, a Life Group partner – serving as a guide for a student on his or her spiritual journey
  • Serve – Opportunities are available at every level from Project Managers – overseeing every facet of a service project; to Event Coordinator – managing specific events; to Team Leaders, to Serve Partners and Relaters, working directly with and encouraging students
  • Student Café & Bookstore – Serve as a clerk or cashier; or help to stock shelves, or prepare and serve food and beverages
  • First Impressions – Needed are greeters and those who can help students move from simple attendance to becoming true members of the Christ Fellowship family
  • Support Assistants – Help with internal and external communications and with office administrative tasks
  • Security – Ask about the special requirements for membership in this elite team

FACILITIES

The mission of the Facilities Department is to provide an environment that encourages the growth of every person who steps onto any of Christ Fellowship’s campuses. Serving opportunities:

  • Exterior Window Cleaning – Help needed twice a month
  • Pressure Cleaning – Washing sidewalks and pavers once month
  • Special Events Set-up – Volunteers on call to help set up for special events
  • Lighting Maintenance – Monthly help needed
