Tithes & Offerings
"A tithe of everything from the land, whether grain from the soil or fruit from the trees, belongs to the Lord; it is holy to the Lord." Leviticus 27:30
What is a tithe and how is it different from an offering? The word, “tithe” literally means tenth or 10%. A tithe is the first 10% of your income. An offering is anything you give above and beyond the 10%.
The Bible says, The purpose of tithing is to teach you always to put God first in your lives (Deuteronomy 14:23). Tithing is a reminder that God is the supplier of everything we have. It is also God’s personal invitation to an outpouring of his blessing in your life.
Giving Beyond Tithes
As the church acts as the body of Christ, each member contributes in a different aspect according to how he or she is gifted and blessed. As Christ Fellowship helps to support and pour into a variety of instrumental ministries, you can contribute to these organizations outside the church by way of a monetary gift.
Outreach
Donations for Outreach are distributed to various partner ministries both locally and around the world. These funds will help meet physical needs and spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. Examples of this are supplying food banks, supporting orphanages and help to build churches.
Building Projects
Christ Fellowship is continuing to develop new facilities that can be used to grow us spiritually and gather together as the body of Christ. Funds donated to the Building Fund will be used for new facilities and debt reduction so that families may come and worship for years to come.
Hope For Freedom
Human trafficking is an inexcusable catastrophe of modern-day slavery. We are called to defend the freedom of those who cannot speak for themselves. Funds will help support partnering organizations such as Not for Sale and Love 146 to stop human trafficking.
Crisis Fund
Support dollars donated to the Crisis Fund enables us to bring immediate comfort and hope to those who find themselves in crisis due to overwhelming natural disaster. Examples of this are the Haiti Earthquake Relief, Hurricane Katrina and the Tsunami in Asia relief efforts.
