The Worship Pastor of Christ Fellowship en Español serves as a member of the Worship Staff Team and reports directly to the Pastor of Christ Fellowship en Español.  He/She works closely with key ministry partners and staff to plan and implement all worship services and music for special events.  The Worship Pastor also pastors the Worship Staff, Team, and Co-Laborers.

Experience/Education:

Requires a music degree or equivalent training/experience. Must have extensive experience and gifting in leading worship, and be an excellent vocalist (solos, parts, etc.). Requires experience in vocal music directing (ensembles, choir, etc.), and proficiency on a rhythm section instrument (guitar, piano, etc.). Must be fluent in a variety of contemporary styles of music, and have the ability to create rhythm charts for worship bands.

• Must have high level relational skills, and possess a team building spirit.
• Must have demonstrated leadership skills and experience, including leading and collaborating with staff, contracted musicians, and volunteers.
• Requires the ability to accomplish assigned projects through other ministry staff; utilizing highly developed communication (written and verbal), project management, time management and collaboration skills.
• Demonstrates the ability to perform high quality, detailed work with minimum supervision within assigned deadlines.
• Demonstrates the ability to think strategically while staying focused on the accomplishment of current departmental priorities.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop the entire scope of the CFE’s Worship Community (spiritual discipleship, musical leadership, team development).
• Responsible for developing the music teams for Students Ministries and Max singles’ ministry.
• Responsible for leading music worship and scheduling rotation for main weekend services.
• Oversee weekend service experience through the planning and programming of worship services and events ensuring quality and content stability across the board.
• Lead vocal auditions, ensemble and choir rehearsals as needed.
• Act as worship team singer/soloist when not leading.
• Oversee “planning center” for campus including working with the Pastor of CFE to communicate musician and vocal needs for the campus.
• Assist key ministry partners and staff in stage set-up and band placement for weekend experience.
• Assist in the daily shepherding, networking and discipleship of the campus worship community.
• Recruit and train respective volunteers in his/her ministry in spiritual growth utilizing the Christ Fellowship Purpose Driven model.
• Be actively involved and/or available for other ministry areas, including but not subject to: counseling, visitation, teaching and pastoral care.
• Facilitate planning for funerals and weddings.
• Must be available for activities and events outside of the weekend services, especially when requested by the CFE Campus Pastor.
• Other ministry duties as assigned, including but not limited to: Teaching GIG, providing musical support for special events, leadership gathering and other ministry wide events.

Terms and Conditions:

• Must not work on any personal music projects during regular business hours. For example if he/she is working on a song for one of his/her personal music projects, he/she should not use his/her working hours or the equipment to work on such projects.
• Regular working hours (9:00 A.M. ~5:00 P.M) should not be used to advance personal business affairs in any way.  He/She must use his time constructively and must be punctual.
• Must give at least one-month advance notification when taking paid time off.  
• PTO requests will be approved based on ministry needs and staffing requirements.  Weekends away should not exceed the number of earned weeks of vacation.
• Vacation requests for particularly busy time periods may be denied and alternative times may be offered.  Generally, vacation time is not granted during the time immediately surrounding Christmas or Easter services at CFE.
• Should make every effort to use vacation time throughout the year and avoid conflict with special holiday events.
