The Assistant Worship Coordinator is responsible for helping provide leadership and support to the children’s worship ministry at the Garden’s campus. This position reports to the Children’s Ministry Worship Coordinator. This position is part-time (15 hours per week).
Experience/Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience leading worship as a lead vocalist.
- Experience leading a band.
- Experience working with children in a musical setting.
Requirements:
- Must be a flexible, team player that has chemistry with the Children’s Ministry team.
- Must wholeheartedly support the vision and direction of the Children’s Ministry as set by the Core Director and church leaders.
- Must be committed to campus alignment and wholeheartedly implement aligned songs, strategy, programs, etc.
- Requires the ability to accomplish assigned projects through other ministry staff; utilizing highly developed communication (written and verbal), project management, time management and collaboration skills.
- Demonstrates the ability to perform high quality, detailed work with minimum supervision within assigned deadlines.
- Demonstrates the ability to think strategically while staying focused on the accomplishment of current departmental priorities.
- Must be able to lead worship as a lead vocalist.
- Must be able to build and lead a worship team and band.
- Must be highly responsible and punctual.
- Ability to write and produce relevant Children’s Ministry songs preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Be a liaison to adult and student ministry worship ministries. Lead children’s worship to reflect Christ Fellowship’s heart for worship.
- Build a band and worship team for Nitro. Includes leading practices one night a week.
- Lead worship at weekend services in Nitro primarily and in GK Studios occasionally.
- Assist with coordinating practices for the weekend worship teams.
- Assist with scheduling worship teams for weekend services.
- Assist with communicating with children and parents regarding auditions, goals, objectives, rehearsal times, performance schedules, and general information.
- Provide adequate supervision of participating children during rehearsals and service times.
- Serve on Core children’s worship team. Work with the Core children’s worship team to plan song selections.
- Attend staff and Children’s Ministry meetings as needed.
- Assist Children’s Ministry Worship Coordinator with special projects such as summer events, Family Experiences, Easter services, etc. (extra hours will be allotted for these events)
- Other duties as assigned by Worship Coordinator and Director of Children’s Ministry.
